Sounds are the gold in English, evidence-based approach to teaching literacy, which suggests the fastest pathway into literacy is knowledge of alphabet sounds and phonic sounds.

Welcome to the blog post.
This is the time to know the importance to know the sounds in the English alphabet.
Phonology
“One of the major theoretical advances in reading research in the las 50 years has been recognition of the crucial role that phonology processes play in learning to read.”
As an educator with more than 12 years of experience with students with English as a second language, I have seen the importance of knowing the sounds in question for those who are learning to read and those who wish to communicate fluently.
Phonology & the 4 English skills
Phonics instruction teaches children how to decode letters to read, speak, write and read into their respective sounds with meaning, a skill that is essential for them to read unfamiliar words by themselves.
Keep in mind that most words are in fact unfamiliar to early readers in print, even if they have spoken knowledge of the word. Having letter-sound knowledge will allow children to make the link between the #writtenwords to their spoken knowledge.
